**The standard is open; the machine is ours.**

Every system you depend on has a question sitting at the bottom of it:

**Who decides what's allowed to change?**

Your money has an answer — you just don't get to vote on it. Your
infrastructure has an answer — it's in your provider's terms. And the
machines we now keep knowledge with have no answer at all:
[memory tells an agent what happened](/memory). It doesn't tell it what's
allowed to change.

I've worked that question for years, layer by layer — money you hold,
infrastructure you run, dependencies you can name. Seventeen theses of it,
[opening as gates clear](/theses/the-theses).

PX3 is the answer I built for the newest layer: a governance standard for
knowledge that humans and AI keep together. Three weights of authority,
machine-readable — an agent knows what it may touch before it reads a word.

It ran in production for over a year before it had a website. The proof
preceded the pitch: the standard's whole body of work, as it stood in July
2026, hashed and anchored on Bitcoin before any of it opened.
